1. Position: Utilization Review/Intake Clinician

The job duties are to insure insurance collection. The job position is to insure affective billing and collection from insurance companies. You will be working closely together with billing company and our clinical team to insure collections. You will be responsible for In network contracts and relationships with insurance companies. The position does not include any direct clinical work.

Monday – Friday 10 am to 6:30 pm. You can work from home and sometimes in the office. Hours are flexible during business hours. Salary $50-$80 depending on qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: Preferred certification Master’s Degree in Psychology, 2 years’ experience with adolescent mental health/co-occurring disorders population.

Reports to: Executive Director, Program Director

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
UTILIZATION REVIEW/CLINICAL DUTIES:

§ Prepares appeal documentation with assistance of senior clinical staff to submit for internal appeals and independent medical reviews from regulatory departments (e.g. DMHC, DOI, etc.)

§ Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment planning and updates for all clients (helps ensure clear documentation of all treatment modalities/disciplines)

§ Completes Admit notes and submits them for treatment authorization; In case of no INN benefits, initiate single case agreement process

§ Ensures completion of Client Biopsychosocial with each new admission

§ Reviews all relevant clinical updates including psychiatric consultations/med changes, adjustments to treatment plan, client participation and progress for concurrent reviews

§ Updates treatment team on payment/coverage information to assist with treatment planning processes, including setting ongoing treatment objectives, discharge planning, and facilitation to a lower level of care

§ Consult with Clinical Director, primary therapists, other clinical/counseling on all pertinent clinical matters

§ Submits all dates of service for services rendered on a weekly basis and reconciles information payments/collection team

§ Tracks billing reports, insurance payments for services rendered, and collections for outstanding payments

§ Tracking treatment authorizations and maintaining appropriate documentation

§ Monitors accuracy and timeliness of financial collections (keeps track of dates of service paid and outstanding)

§ Updates authorization logs (included dates of service authorized)

§ Facilitates in Quality Improvement Activities (assisting directors in audits as needed)

§ Obtain policy information for the purpose of gathering IOP/OP benefit information via billing agency

§ Facilitates ancillary services/community referrals as needed

§ Participates in in-service training, individual/group supervision meetings, and treatment planning meetings

§ Submits all dates of service for services rendered on a weekly basis and reconciles information payments/collection team

§ Tracks billing reports, insurance payments for services rendered, and collections for outstanding payments

§ Tracking treatment authorizations and maintaining appropriate documentation

§ Monitors accuracy and timeliness of financial collections (keeps track of dates of service paid and outstanding)

1. Position: Primary Therapist in Santa Clarita

Job Description

We are looking to fill our Mental Health Therapist positions in our Santa Clarita location.

  • Provision of mental health services with dual-diagnosis teen population is preferred and applicants who have worked in some type of IOP setting are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience and interest in group therapy with both teens and families as well as experience or knowledge of different relapse prevention models is helpful.
  • You will be part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team. Modalities include individual and group therapy, family sessions, and multiple family groups.
  • The hours are from 2 pm to 7 pm and one day 2-9 pm
  • The position can be structured as a part-time 20-25 hours or Full Time 40 hour per week position.
  • Opportunity to move into a full-time position.
  • We are interested in applicants who have worked as an supervised intern (MFTI, ASW, Psychological Assistant, etc.) and have registered with their respective Board for a registration number.
