Thank you for your message to Insight Treatment. Our facilities and offices are currently closed for the holidays, from Friday December 24 – Friday December 31. We will return Monday January 3. For basic information about our program, please refer to the following:
Insight Treatment is a Private Insurance based, in-person, adolescent treatment program for teens and their families (ages 13-18) and has been serving families for +25 years. We currently have five locations serving Van Nuys, Pasadena, Santa Clarita, El Segundo, and Modesto.
The level of care provided is Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), which means teens come after school to receive group, individual, and family therapy 4 times a week. Typically, teens who enter our program attend for 9-12 months before graduating. They do, however, decrease the number of days per week as they progress through the program, going from 4 days down to 1 day a week by the time they are ready to graduate.
We are a “Family Systems” oriented program and provide a lot of support to the parents as well as their teens. Each location has one evening we call “Family Night” that will be on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, depending on location; teens come from 5-9, with parents coming from 6-9. The other 3 nights a week are just for the teens, 4-7. If needed, we do offer an academic Day Program as an additional service for families admitted to the afternoon IOP program, please let your admissions coordinator know when they call if you have more questions about that or any further aspects of our program.
Insight only offers IOP and not Residential Treatment as we are able to help the clients in their real-life setting, work more in depth with the family, and offer continued support through this process when obstacles arise. We are a treatment program; we do not offer counseling on a once-a-week basis.
Regarding insurance we accept, we do take most private insurance policies. We are in network with Anthem Blue Cross, Tricare, and MHN/Health Net. We do not take Medi-Cal and we do not take Kaiser, but if you are interested discussing other insurance options or referrals, we may be able to assist. We typically get insurance to cover the full cost of treatment.
Thank you again for your inquiry, please let us know if you have any questions via this email thread, or by reaching out to us again once we have returned Jan. 3.
We hope you and your family are having a safe, happy holiday season! We look forward to speaking with you soon in the new year.
Sincerely.
Insight Admissions Team
