Assessment and Placement
During the initial evaluation, a comprehensive assessment evaluating drug and alcohol use, behavioral problems, family issues, social functioning, psychological and emotional problems, academic functioning, physical health, peer groups, and nutrition is done to determine the appropriate level of care and treatment resources needed for each client to reach therapeutic goals.
For adolescents needing a higher level of care or out of home placement, finding the right setting to meet the needs of your teen can seem overwhelming. Whether your teen needs a therapeutic boarding school, residential teen drug or alcohol program, or residential program for psychological or psychiatric disorders, Insight can help. Our staff has visited programs all over the country and can make recommendations based on the unique needs of your teen. No one size fits all and finding the best fit starts with a comprehensive assessment. Additionally, Insight can recommend educational consultants, interventionists, sober companions, and other professionals that may be of help in the placement process.
